The evening features the expressive trumpet artistry of Linton J. Smith Jr., whose musical journey includes performances in Norfolk, Virginia, formal studies at Kentucky State College and Augusta College, and contributions to numerous musical projects. His solo works include Salt of the Earth, Friend, and Jazz On the Rocks, alongside collaborations with Louise Smith such as My Daddy’s House, Joyful Sounds of Christmas, Be Made Whole, and Night Song. As both performer and educator, Linton brings depth, warmth, and soulful expression to every note.
